Frequently Asked Questions

What Can I Use Instead of Curd?

Curd or Greek yogurt is the best choice for this recipe. Not only does it moisten the cake, but it also lends it a nice little tanginess and richness that is unmatched. If you don’t have either of these, you could use an equal amount of sour cream as an alternative. Yummy Healthy Marble Cake

Can I Use All Purpose Flour Instead of Wheat Flour?

You sure can! The purpose of using wheat flour for this recipe was to make the marble cake a healthy sweet treat, but if you don’t have wheat flour or you’d just rather stick to using all purpose flour, you could totally do that too.
You could also add some almond flour into the mixture if you want to make the cake healthier. Creamy Healthy Marble Cake

What Else Can I Add to the Marble Cake?

There are quite a few variations you can bring into this cake. You could replace half the regular flour that the recipe calls for with hazelnut flour to lend the cake a nice nutty taste.
The vanilla portion of the cake can also be flavored differently- ideally with another flavor that works well with the chocolate portion of the cake. Flavorful Healthy Marble Cake

How Do I Store the Leftovers?

The best part about making this healthy marble cake is the fact that it stores pretty well. You can transfer the leftovers to an airtight container and leave it on the countertop for up to 2 days, or refrigerate it if you want it to last for up to 5 days. Delicious Healthy Marble Cake

Tips & Tricks to Make the Healthy Marble Cake

While making the marble cake can be easy, having these little tips and tricks handy can help you get it right in a smooth, effortless way.

  • If you don’t have powdered sugar that is needed for the recipe, you can easily make it on your own by pulsing some regular sugar in a food processor. Alternatively, you could just use caster sugar. The idea is to use fine grain sugar that dissolves rapidly in the cake mixture.
  • Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature before you begin combining them.
  • Want to swap the sugar in the recipe with another sweetener? Monk fruit extract, stevia and honey are some good alternatives.
  • It is best to use avocado oil, almond oil or any other neutral flavored oil (preferably a cold pressed variety) for this recipe.
  • Don’t have chocolate syrup? You can add some unsweetened cocoa powder into the mixture. Remember to use high quality cocoa powder for best results.
