Ingredients For the Recipe

A handful of simple pantry essentials is all you’ll need to put this flavor loaded Korean dumpling soup together. 

For the egg garnish

  • Egg: 1
  • Salt: A pinch
  • Black pepper powder: A pinch
  • Oil: 1 tbsp

For the dumpling soup

  • Oil: 1 tsp
  • Garlic (minced): 1 tbsp
  • Green onions (chopped): ¼ cup
  • Chicken stock: 2 cups
  • Soy sauce: 1 tbsp
  • Salt: ½ tsp
  • Black pepper powder: 2 tsp
  • Frozen dumpling (thawed): 3
  • Green onions (chopped): For garnish
  • Prepared egg strips: For garnish

How to Make the Korean Dumpling Soup

Once you have all your ingredients ready, here’s what you need to do to put the soup together. 

Add egg with salt and pepper in a bowl

In a mixing bowl, add the egg, salt and pepper. Mix. 

Spread the mixture over the pan

Next, heat oil in a non-stick pan and distribute the oil evenly. 

Cook from both the sides

Pour the egg mixture onto the pan and cook each side for 1 minute. 

Cut the egg into long thin strips

Once the egg is cooked and cooled, cut it into long thin strips.

Heat oil in a pan. Add the minced garlic. Saute. 

add green onions and spices to the pan and mix well

Add the green onions and season with salt and black pepper powder. Saute.

Next, add the chicken stock and let the mixture boil.

Continue boiling until the liquid reduces by half.

Once they are cooked, take them out of the soup and place in a bowl. Top it with a few scoops of the soup.
