Frequently Asked Questions

What Else Can I Add to the Air Fried Masoor Rolls?

I have added carrots and cabbage to the air fried masoor rolls, but you can also add some other veggies or fillings of your choice.
Chopped bell peppers, tomatoes, baby corn and mushrooms and all great options. yummy air fried masoor rolls

How Do I Store the Leftovers?

If you have any leftovers, you can refrigerate them in a clean container with an airtight lid. These should stay good for up to 2 days.
I would recommend reheating these in the Air Fryer to keep them nice and crispy. You can also use your microwave to reheat them, but they won’t retain their crunch factor if you do. side view of air fried masoor rolls

What Can I Use Instead of Ready Made Wraps?

If you don’t have ready-made wraps, you can use homemade zucchini tortillas or beetroot rotis to make it even healthier. crisp air fried masoor rolls

Tips & Tricks to Make the Air Fried Masoor Rolls

Ready to make these air fried masoor rolls? Here are some more tips and tricks you might want to take note of.

  • I used split red lentils to make this the filling for the masoor rolls, but you can also use yellow lentils if you want to bring in some variation.
  • To cut down the cooking time for the lentils, you can choose to soak them overnight.
  • Remember not to use too much water while cooking the lentils. You don’t want the lentil mixture to be too runny or watery.
  • To make these air fried masoor rolls more protein rich, you can also add some crumbled feta cheese or cottage cheese into the mix.
  • Don’t forget to garnish the rolls with some chopped cilantro or coriander leaves. I would also recommend adding some of these into the filling for some extra freshness.
  • You can season the masoor rolls based on your personal preference. Adjust the seasoning as per your taste.
  • You can also choose to make these Air Fryer masoor rolls in a big batch and refrigerate or freeze them until you are ready to air fry them.
  • Assemble all the rolls together and arrange them in a container in a single layer or in multiple layers separated by parchment paper.
  • You can then move these into the refrigerator or in the freezer until you are ready to air fry them.
  • If you don’t have an Air Fryer, you can also bake or deep fry these rolls until they’re golden brown.
