Frequently Asked Questions

What Else Can I Add to the Air Fryer Onion and Cream Dip?

In addition to everything that I used, you can also add a dash of garlic powder or mushroom powder into the dip mixture. This will intensify the savory, umami flavors of the dip.
You can also add a light drizzle of soy sauce into the dip to deepen the color and to balance out the sweetness of the caramelized onions with the savory saltiness. tasty Air Fryer onion and cream dip

Tips & Tricks to Make the Air Fryer Onion and Cream Dip

Ready to try this easy recipe? You might want to take note of these little tips and tricks too.

  • I used a mix of mayonnaise and cream to make the base for the dip, but if you want to make it healthier, you can also use some Greek yogurt instead.
  • If you’re using Greek yogurt remember to choose the unflavored and unsweetened variety.
  • I would recommend using full fat Greek yogurt for this recipe, as it lends the best results and makes the dip super creamy and flavorful.
  • Sour cream can also be a good addition to the dip, and can lend it that much needed tanginess.
  • Cream cheese is another excellent ingredient to consider adding to the dip.
  • If you don’t have an Air Fryer, you can replicate the same recipe and make the caramelized onions for the dip in a pan instead.
  • To help the flavors of the dip develop and deepen, allow the dip to sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours before you serve it.
