Tips & Tricks to Make the Oreo Cake in a Cup

Making the Oreo cake in a cup may be easy, but keeping these tips and tricks handy can really help you nail the texture and flavor!

  • Want some more intense chocolate flavor? Add in half a teaspoon of sweetened cocoa powder before you microwave it.
  • Remember to use full fat milk for this recipe. The low fat variety will not lend you the same taste and flavor you’re looking for.
  • You can use different flavored Oreos to try bringing a bit of variation into this delicious dessert.
  • Make sure you check the cup at the 4 minute mark to see if the cake is done. Don’t overcook the cake, or it’ll turn out too dry.
  • If you have a higher wattage microwave, your cake might take even less time to cook, so keep that in mind as well.
  • If your Oreo cake has turned out too dry, you can drizzle a bit of milk over it before you serve to lend it a bit of moisture.
