Frequently Asked Questions

What Else Can I Add to the Butter Garlic Eggs?

Eggs and garlic are the hero ingredients in this dish, but if you want to, you could also throw in some other veggies and ingredients of your choice to make the dish more filling and healthy.
I love adding finely chopped broccoli, onions and carrots to the dish. I simply saute them along with the garlic to get them to soften a bit before I add in the eggs. side view of Butter Garlic Eggs

How Do I Store the Leftovers?

I wouldn’t recommend storing the leftovers beyond a day, if at all. This dish is best made and enjoyed fresh.
If you do have some leftovers, you can move them to an airtight container and refrigerate them for a day.
To reheat them, just transfer them to a non-stick pan and cook them on low heat for a few minutes.

Tips & Tricks to Make the Butter Garlic Eggs

Ready to give this easy recipe a try? Here are a few tips and tricks you might want to take note of.

  • To add some extra rich and creamy flavor to these butter garlic eggs, you can also top them with a generous sprinkle of grated cheese towards the end of the cooking process.
  • Parmesan cheese is the ideal choice, but you could also choose cheddar cheese or just regular processed cheese if you want to.
  • If you’re worried about the dish turning out too runny because of all the milk, you could choose to swap it for some heavy cream instead. This will be a bit high in fat, but will ensure that the eggs don’t overcook and turn rubbery and will also lend a delicious rich flavor to the dish.
  • I have used a non-stick pan for this recipe, but if you want to, you could also try making this in a cast iron pan. Just make sure the pan is well seasoned, so that you don’t end up with those sticky bits.
