Tips & Tricks to Make the Watermelon Lemony Mojito

While making this unique take on the mojito is super easy, take note of these little tips and tricks to make it even easier!

  • Muddling the watermelon and the mint leaves together is really what helps all those flavors release and blend together well. If you don’t have a muddler, you can use the back of a spoon to smush it all together as well.
  • The soda is what lends the mojito that bit of fizziness you’re looking for. If you don’t have soda, you could just use some chilled water and turn it into a non-carbonated beverage to sip on.
  • This version of the mojito can, in fact, be a nice drink for toddlers and kids too.
  • If you want to take this version of the drink up a notch, you can add a bit of sparkling apple cider in too. If you don’t have apple cider, you can also make do with some grape juice.
  • If you don’t want to use sugar as the sweetener and are looking for a natural alternative, agave or some honey can be good choices.
  • If you don’t have mint leaves, you can use some fresh basil as an alternative.
  • To enhance the flavors of the mojito, you can add some pineapple juice or fresh pineapple chunks, mango or even some cucumber into the mix.
