Ingredients

  • 1 large Banana leaf
  • 300 grams Chicken pieces
  • ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 8-10 leaves Heart leaf/Fish mint optional
  • ¼ cup Coriander roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  • ¼ teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 2-3 Green/Red chilies chopped
  • ½ cup Cherry tomatoes halved

Instructions

  • Heat the entire banana leaf over low to medium flame. Do not burn it. Heat just until the color changes.
  • Spread out the banana leaf. Add all the ingredients one by one. Give it a good mix.
  • Next, fold the banana leaf and tie it with a thread so that the mixture is secured inside.
  • Bring a steamer to a boil and add in the tied banana leaf. Let it steam for 35-40 minutes.
  • Heat a pan and place the stuffed banana leaf on it and cook each side for 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve hot with rice.
