Ingredients

  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ cup Butter (grated)
  • 1 glass Buttermilk

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add the flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and butter. Mix well.
  • Next, add the buttermilk little by little and knead into a smooth dough. The dough doesn't need to be kneaded a lot. Just knead until it comes together. Rest it for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Next, once the dough is well rested, transfer it to a board. Dust it with flour and roll it out.
  • Fold the sides together and roll again. Repeat this step 3 or 4 times.
  • Next, shape the dough into a rectangle. Use a cookie cutter and cut out circular shapes of the dough.
  • Pre-heat the air fryer at 200℃ for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the cut out circular dough balls into the air fryer, brush them with buttermilk,  and cook them at 200℃ for 12-15 minutes.
  • Enjoy with tea or a beverage of your choice.
