Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh spinach washed and chopped
  • ½ lb paneer cubed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 green chilies chopped (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon oil or ghee
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

  • Add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies (if using). Saute until onions turn golden brown.

  • Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

  • Add chopped spinach and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes or until spinach wilts and becomes soft.

  • Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then blend it in a blender or food processor until smooth. Return the mixture to the pan.
  • Add cubed paneer to the pan and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes or until paneer is heated through.

  • Add salt to taste and heavy cream. Mix well and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
    Salt to taste, ½ cup heavy cream
  • Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
