Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add chopped onions, ginger, garlic, and green chilies (if using). Saute until onions turn golden brown.

Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add chopped spinach and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes or until spinach wilts and becomes soft.
1 lb fresh spinach
Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then blend it in a blender or food processor until smooth. Return the mixture to the pan.
Add cubed paneer to the pan and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes or until paneer is heated through.
½ lb paneer
Add salt to taste and heavy cream. Mix well and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
Salt to taste, ½ cup heavy cream
Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
