Ingredients

Ingredients for the chicken marination

  • 250 grams Chicken (with bones)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder

Ingredients for the Asado

  • 1 cup Potatoes (cubed)
  • 1 cup Carrots (cubed)
  • 1 bowl Marinated chicken
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 3 pcs Bay leaf
  • 2 pcs Star anise
  • ½ cup Onions (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Calamansi juice

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the air fryer at 400°F for 5 minutes. 
  • Marinate the chicken with salt and black pepper powder. Let it rest for about 20 minutes.
  • Next, air fry the potatoes, carrots, and the marinated chicken at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add the bay leaves and the star anise.
  • Add in the chopped onions next and saute until they become translucent.
  • Add the air fried potatoes, carrots, and chicken next and saute.
  • Add the chicken broth next and mix well.
  • Next add in the soya sauce, worcestershire sauce, and the calamansi juice. Give it a good mix.
  • Serve hot with rice of your choice.
