Ingredients

Ingredients For the Pakodas

  • ½ cup Besan/ Chickpea Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.5 cup Spring onions (chopped)
  • 1 glass Water

Ingredients For the Green chutney

  • 1 bunch Coriander leaves
  • ½ cup Mint leaves
  • 10 pcs Garlic cloves
  • 5 pcs Green chilies
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ pc Lemon juice

Ingredients For Onion Salad

  • 1 pc Onion rings (large)
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Chaat masala
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • ½ pc Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Green chili (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander leaves (finely chopped)

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the air fryer at 400°F for 5 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the pakodas and mix well.
  • Add water little by little and try to make it into a thick paste. The consistency should be so that the besan can bind together and you can create small roundish shapes for the pakodas.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with oil.
  • Place the small roundels of the besan mixture on the air fryer basket and cook them at 350°F for 8-10 minutes or until done.
  • Next, raise the temperature to 400°F for 2 minutes so that the pakodas are crispy.
  • You can flip them once in between and brush some oil so that they are cooked well. (Optional step)
  • For the green chutney, blend everything together in a blender. Adjust salt and lemon juice if required.
  • For the onion salad, mix everything together.
  • Serve the spring onion pakodas hot with green chutney and onion salad.
