Ingredients for the first marination

  • 5-6 pcs Chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon Green chili coriander leaves (paste)
  • 2 tablespoon Salt
  • ¾ cup Curd

Ingredients for the second marination

  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • teaspoon Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Black peppercorns
  • 2 pc Green cardamom
  • 1 pc Star anise
  • 3-4 pcs Cloves
  • ½ pc Mace
  • 1 teaspoon Dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 stick Cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon Besan
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Mint leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Oil


  • In a mixing bowl, add the chicken drumsticks along with the ingredients mentioned under first marination. Mix them well and let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes.
  • Next, take all the whole spices and dry roast them.
  • Then grind them into a fine powder.
  • Add the powdered spice into the marinated chicken drumsticks. Add the besan, salt, lemon juice, mint leaves, and oil. Mix well.
  • Pre-heat the air fryer at 400°Ffor 5 minutes. 
  • Spray the air fryer basket with oil.
  • Next, place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket, spray a bit of oil on them, and cook them at 350°F for8-10 minutes.
  • You can flip them once in between so that they are cooked well.
  • Next cook the pieces at 400°F for another 5-6 minutes.
  • Serve hot with pickled onions and lemons.
