Ingredients

  • 3 cups Mixed nuts (2 cups walnuts+1 cup almond and cashew nuts+1 oz each Macadamia, pecan, Brazil nut and Hazelnut)
  • ¼ cup organic virgin/extra virgin coconut oil
  • ¼ cup organic cacao powder
  • ½ cup melted semi-sweet vegan chocolate chips
  • 4 scoops chocolate flavored vegan protein powder (optional)
  • 4 sachets stevia (optional and if required)

Instructions

Roast the nuts:

  • Preheat the oven to 200 F.
  • Roast hazel nuts separately and remove skin.
  • Layer all the other nuts in a baking sheet.
  • Bake for five minutes until they feel warm.

Process:

  • Take all the nuts in a food processor.
  • Process at high-speed for 10 minutes until the mixture is fine like a meal.
  • Scrape around the edges and process again.
  • Now add coconut oil.
  • Process again, till the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Add Chocolate and Protein:

  • Now add melted chocolate, organic cacao powder and chocolate protein powder.
  • Process again until the mixture is super smooth and creamy.
  • The mixture may feel warm at this point.

Sweeten:

  • If required, add sweeteners at this point.
  • Because I used sweetened protein powder and semi-sweet chocolate morsels, the nutella was already sweet.
  • Still, I added 4 sachets of granular stevia to this mixture and processed again.
  • Your homemade mixed nut sugar-free nutella is ready.
