Ingredients

  • ½ cup Foxtail Millet
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 glass Water
  • ¼ cup Onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon Green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon Curry leaves (chopped)
  • 4 tablespoon Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • ¼ cup Rice flour

Instructions

  • Soak the foxtail millet in water for  2-3 hours.
  • Drain the water from the foxtail millet and transfer it to a blender. Blend into a smooth paste.
  • Take a mixing bowl. Add the foxtail millet paste and add water. Make a mixture with flowy consistency.
  • Next, add the rest of the ingredients and mix.
  • Add the rice flour next and mix well.
  • Let the mixture rest for at least 15 minutes.
  • Heat a flat pan or tawa and grease it with oil. Next, pour batter on the tawa and let it cook. Make smaller sized dosas.
  • Cook both sides of the dosa. Be careful while handling the dosa as it will be quite fragile.
  • Serve hot with sambar and chutney of your choice.
