Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 glass Water
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Oil For greasing and rolling

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients apart from water. Mix.
  • Next, add water little by little and knead the flour into a smooth dough.
  • Apply oil on the dough and cover it and let it rest for at least 15 minutes.
  • Next, take a small portion of the dough and grease it with oil. Roll it out as thin as you can. It is okay if it tears. You may need to use a lot of oil in order to roll it out thin.
  • Next, join the longer sides and make it into a long thin rope like structure.
  • Then roll the elongated dough into a ball.
  • Press with your hands to flatten it out.
  • Next, heat a flat pan or tawa. Transfer the flattened dough onto the pan and cook each side for 3-4 minutes over a low to medium flame.
  • Serve hot with curry of your choice.
