- 1 cup fresh ginger peeled and chopped
- 1 cup fresh garlic cloves peeled
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil optional
- ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder
Wash and peel the ginger root and chop it into small pieces.
1 cup fresh ginger
Peel the garlic cloves.
1 cup fresh garlic cloves
In a blender or food processor, add the ginger pieces and garlic cloves. Add turmeric and a tablespoon of vegetable oil if desired to help the blending process.
1 tablespoon vegetable oil, ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder
Blend the mixture until it forms a smooth paste. If the paste is too thick, add a little water to thin it out.
Transfer the paste to a clean, airtight jar and store it in the refrigerator.
