Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh ginger peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup fresh garlic cloves peeled
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil optional
  • ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder

Instructions

  • Wash and peel the ginger root and chop it into small pieces.

  • Peel the garlic cloves.

  • In a blender or food processor, add the ginger pieces and garlic cloves. Add turmeric and a tablespoon of vegetable oil if desired to help the blending process.

  • Blend the mixture until it forms a smooth paste. If the paste is too thick, add a little water to thin it out.
  • Transfer the paste to a clean, airtight jar and store it in the refrigerator.
