Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Corn Flour
  • 4 tablespoon Rice Flour
  • 4 tablespoon Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1.5 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Banana Stem (batons)
  • 1 cup Mustard Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Chaat Masala

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add the corn flour, rice flour, and whole wheat flour.
  • Add in turmeric powder, black pepper powder, salt, and just 1 teaspoon of red chili powder. Mix all well.
  • Next add in the banana stems and coat them well with the powdered mixture.
  • Next heat oil for frying. Fry the coated banana stems until they turn golden and crisp.
  • Next, take another mixing bowl and add in ½ teaspoon of red chili powder and chaat masala.
  • Add the fried banana stem batons and mix well with the red chili and chaat masala mixture.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can cut the banana stem and keep it frozen. It might turn brown in color which is normal.
