Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized Apples
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 almond(cut into thin pieces)
  • Few sunflower seeds(roasted unsalted)
  • black gel icing

Instructions

Prep the apples:

  • Take two apples.
  • Wash and pat dry.

Cut quarters:

  • With the help of a sharp knife, cut quarters and core the apple.
  • Now cut the middle out of each quarter carefully to create a mouth-like pocket.

Fill the mouths:

  • Take a few almonds and cut them into thin and long pieces. These will be used as the canine teeth.
  • Take a few sunflower seeds for other teeth.
  • Insert the almond pieces in the apple mouths.
  • Now, apply some homemade/store-bought almond butter or homemade/store-bought nutella around the edges of the apple mouth.
  • Place three to four sunflower seeds on the top of the mouth. Refer the picture.

Add tongues.

  • Slice a strawberry lengthwise.
  • Place each slice inside the apple mouth to create a tongue.

Create eyes.

  • You can either use store-bought edible eyes or create eyes as I did.
  • Just peel a part of the apple skin above the upper jaw of the mouth.
  • Make an eyeball by using a black gel icing.
  • The apple monsters are ready.
